Who wants to be a millionaire? Well I do, I do and no wonder Richie Rich has been one of my most watched cartoon show since childhood. To be rich, to be famous is a dream of many and reality for a lucky few. You must have noticed that the net these days is loaded with strange ways of becoming rich and famous overnight. Suggestion – please grow up! What’s the point in doing stupid things for earning a little bit of fame that does not even last a fortnight? What’s the point in making a fool of oneself? Good things don’t come easy and easy things never last. 1. Set a goal : The faster, the better. Time waits for none and so simply don’t waste your time doing things that take you nowhere near to your goal.
2. Go for a SWOT analysis : Nobody in this world is a total worthless or 100% perfect. We all have our own quota of strength and weakness. SWOT analysis will give u a deep insight into your strength and weakness and tell you about the opportunities and threats that surround you. Concentrate on your strength, your forte, remember, that’s your trump card. Work on your weakness so as to overcome those, grab opportunities whenever you see them and keep yourself guarded against the anticipated threats.
3. Take calculated risk : Do understand there lies a thin line of difference between a gambler and a calculated risk taker. Success does not come the easy way and at times you have to take a risk. Remember, no risk, no gain. So take a risk, a calculated and moderate one when needed but never gamble.
4. Cut fake and negative people out of your life : Rich and famous people have a lot of friends. Friends? Really? I just wonder where these friends vanish when one has a bad day! Life will give you many opportunities to understand who’s fake, who’s not. Exercise your gut feelings and intuition to decide. Trust actions more than words. Cut off fake and negative people out of your life, if not out of life then at least out of your work life. These people do more harm than good and have a great ability of pulling you down.
5. Learn from past mistakes : Committing a mistake is not a crime but not to learn from one’s mistake is utterly foolish. Mistakes show you places where you need to work on probable areas of improvement.
6. Do not take advantage of people who love you : There will be a handful of genuine people who will love you for what you are and the way you are. They will willingly help you and want you to excel in all your matters. Acknowledge them and value their efforts. Do not take these people for granted and do not take advantage of them.
7. Do not depend on luck, make your own luck : The rich and famous don’t believe in luck but believe in creating own opportunities. See a problem as an opportunity to do something in a different manner.
8. Curb unnecessary expenses : Nobody is asking you to be a miser but there’s no point in being a spendthrift either. One major obstacle in the path of one’s becoming rich is that one always spend more than they earn. Start cutting the unnecessary spending in your life.

11. Bring your creativity and innovative skill to use : In a world where people mostly resort to the “copy paste” technique being original is unique and being creative and innovative is a boon. So if you have it in you value it, cherish it, flaunt it and use it to become rich and famous.

Some people will criticize you because they have to, because it’s you or because they probably know you are much ahead of them. Ignore this bunch of cranky people and their baseless criticism but when it comes to constructive criticism; listen, respond, thank and keep on going.
15. Have vision and foresight : Great leaders possess clear vision and foresight and so should you if you wish to be successful in life. One should have a clear vision of where one wants to be and a foresight to help one know what actions need to be taken in order to turn the vision into reality.
