10 Funny Mistakes in Bollywood Movies

Movies make us laugh, dance, cry, think, evaluate, re-evaluate and sometimes they make us wonder! Wonder why and how the maker could miss out on the minute details, but to err is human and thus some of the very popular Bollywood Movies are also not devoid of a few glitches. Since there is nothing much we can do about it, we can hope, wish and pray for the future films to be near perfect and enjoy the glitches for the time being. These funny mistakes make for a fun watch.

1.Queen (2014) : We all remember Kangana Ranaut’s movie Queen. It was no doubt a sweet, lovable, highly applauded film but it wasn’t free of glitches. The plane in which “Rani Mehra” took off from Delhi was changed from Airbus A320 to Airbus A330 to Airbus A380. Confused? Watch it once more to clear off your confusion.

2.Chennai Express (2013) : This movie was one of the biggest entertainer of 2013. Everything about the film was entertaining. The locations, the songs, the dialogues and so were the glitches. It was funny how sleeper coach of the Chennai Express train changed to the general coach, the confusion regarding the handing over SRK’s grandfather’s ashes to SRK. Once Rahul’s (SRK) grandmother is seen giving ashes to him at home and then again at the station. And then we had our hero flaunting his train ticket to Chennai though he never bought it. How? Well magic. There is literally nothing that our Bollywood heroes can’t do.

3.Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) : This movie was set in the 50’s but Milkha (Farhan Akhtar) was seen singing “Nanha Munna” which was a song from the movie “Son of India” released in 1962. Mobile towers were even visible in the background in a few scenes which obviously did not exist in that era. We truly wish a film like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag at least did not suffer from these glitches.

4.Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001) : The younger of the two sons, heart-throb of millions, Hrithik Roshan (Rohan) reaches college in a Lamborghini which later changes into a Mercedes. And Miss Pooja (Kareena kapoor), the fashion obsessed diva enters wearing different red sandals in a pair and is spotted wearing another pair of stilettos later in the song “You are my Sonia”. But then if things like plane and train can change, sandal is just a sandal.

5.Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995) : Love is blind. Truly. We fell for this film so much that we actually became too blind to notice the green grass turning to a field full of mustard flowers in the song “Tujhe Dekha Toh”. A case of immediate cultivation I guess. I wish Indian farmers learnt this trick. In the train scene Simran (Kajol) is seen re-packing her suitcase and nothing was there on the floor but our hero Raj (SRK) somehow manages to pull out a piece of lingerie from nowhere.Abra ka Dabra!

6.PK (2014) : In the film PK, Bhairao Singh (Sanjay Dutt) comes to Delhi via train number 12290 which is actually the Duronto Express that runs between Mumbai and Nagpur. Moreover, Kalyan is clearly written on the train. There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the train scenes in our films.

7.Lagaan (2001) : In the movie each team gets 6 balls per over but the fact is during those days (The film is set in 1892), England allowed only 5 balls per over. How’z that? So you see even Mr. Perfectionist’s (Aamir Khan) films are not free of a few silly mistakes.

8.Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011) : The 3 friends arrive at the dhaba in the opening scene on a motorcycle and leave in a jeep. Wow! I wish we have more of dhabas with magical parking space where you park a bike and drive away in a jeep.

9.Ra.One (2011) : SRK plays a South Indian Hindu (Shekhar Subramaniam) in the film yet he is given a Christian funeral. Well, may be that was the dying man’s last wish. Who knows! May his soul rest in peace.

10.Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013) : Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor) takes the luggage and book from Naina (Deepika Padukone) but that very book is still with Naina the next moment. Creepy!

Nobody’s perfect. At least not our Bollywood movies. But one must remember and understand that making movies is not a child’s play and at times one might just miss out on a few minute details and continuity might break at places. Though this is not desired still let us be a bit more considerate and forgiving and enjoy and laugh over the mistakes. Remember a good laugh is good for one’s health. So keep watching more movies.

We are sure you too have observed a few glitches here and there. Feel free to put up those in the comment section below.
